About the Dog
My name is Garbanzo. I am a dog. A long-haired Dachshund to be specific. Some people call me a “wiener dog” or I’ve even heard “weenie dog”…. Jessica, I know it was you… some kid at the park even called me a “hot dog”. These terms are not correct. I compare the term “wieners” to Americans calling Mexicans “beaners“… sigh. Please do not refer to me as a ground-up, compressed piece of meat. I have feelings.
And this website and blog is where I share those feelings… (wag wag wag)
I was torn away from my family when I was only three months old. I never even knew my dad, just saw pictures of him. I asked my mom about him. She says he was a stud. A champion. She would smile and sniff my butt and tell me I reminded her of him. Like so many canines separated from their families I am hoping to use the Internet to stay connected with the ones I love. And if I make some new friends along the way, like you nice folks, so be it!
I will keep you posted of what’s new in my little doghouse here in Cincinnati, Ohio. Please stop back and visit often. I love to get mail! Well, I mainly like to bark and chase the mailman. But you should send me e-mail because I’ve heard that it is all the fun of getting mail without getting maced by the hairy mail guy who brings my master bills every month!
